Eclipse Season Has Arrived β€” And, I’m Out! πŸ‘‹

Howdy Friend,

I've got some BIG news for you today!

First, we're officially in the midst of one of our annual eclipse seasons, which happens at least twice and sometimes three times each year. I'll be explaining the significance in the full post. πŸŒ•β™“

Secondly, this will be my last weekly email to you for an indefinite period of time. 😭

For the last three years, beginning Libra Season 2021, I've been writing a weekly love letter to you and the cosmos. Without fail, I've landed in your inbox every Wednesday morning, even in the midst of sickness, stress and once (or was it twice?) during a crazy blizzard. ❄️

At the risk of sounding cliche, it's been an absolute pleasure and an honor to have you receive my words and the ancient wisdom of astrology with such enthusiasm and interest. The experience has been a huge teacher and a blessing in my life.

I'm immeasurably grateful for you, firstname. πŸ™

So then why am I cutting out? I'm going to frame it in an astrological context since "Astrologese" is my second language and we've entered the "eclipse portal," (as the cool kids say).

First, some astronomy: The eclipses always take place under a New or Full Moon and when the Lunar Nodes (Destiny Points) are conjunct (very near) the luminaries (Sun and Moon). This is why we only have a few eclipses each year instead of twice each month when we have a New or Full Moon.

Since July 2023, the Destiny Points have been on the Aries-Libra axis, implying that both collectively and individually, we are are learning how to balance our individual needs while also nurturing our relationships.

(The Nodes will stay in these signs through January 11, 2025.)

During this time, we've been given the opportunity to reassess whether our relationships are up to snuff. Specifically:

β™ˆ Do they allow us our freedom and individual expression?

β™Ž Are they committed, cooperative and balanced?

β™ˆ Do they encourage freedom, passion or spontaneity?

β™Ž Are they aligned with our values?

But it's not just about the other. We're also asking ourselves these questions. You can replace "Do they" and "Are they" with "Do I" and "Am I."

In short, we've all been getting a big dose of what works and what isn't working in our relationships, including where we might be "the problem." This will look different for everyone and will be revealed in many areas of our lives, not just interpersonal or romantic relationship.

As an example, I can clearly see now that I've been so committed to the community that's sprung up around me that I've slowly lost my passion for doing what I want to do (Aries) and have kind of developed a codependent relationship with you and my other readers. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Plus, we're in Virgo Season, which as you've been reading, places a high premium on the health of the Mind-Body-Spirit.

During Virgo Season, things that we were letting slide have a tendency to become intolerable. And that's a really, really good thing because whatever is intolerable points the way to evolutionary growth.

The Full Moon on Tuesday, September 17, is in the sign of Pisces. The fish wants to surrender to the flow of life, most importantly, experiences that need to end or change in some way for the evolutionary process to continue. 🌊

Virgo says, "Hey, something needs to change here, I'm freaking OUT." Pisces, the polarity, says, "Ya grrl, it's cool, we'll catch the next wave."

Add all these archetypes together and you've got something like this:

β™ˆ β™Ž A realization that something in the interpersonal sphere simply isn't working anymore (Aries-Libra)

♍ A strong need or desire to for a healthier reality (Virgo)

β™“ A gentle, compassionate change of course (Pisces)

So as eclipse season began earlier this month, and after a particularly evocative conversation with a close friend that came only an hour after the last monthly Astrological Guidance Circle, I realized ...

It's time to say goodbye to you. For now. In this current form.

I'm not sure if it's a full-stop or a pause. The big eclipses on September 17 and October 2 will undoubtedly clarify it for me. But for now, I'm saying thank you and ciaociao. πŸ‘‹

I hope this story illustrates how this upcoming Full Moon eclipse may play out for you.

At the Guidance Circle last week, Jenny said, "Eclipses happen multiple times a year. I don't really get why they're a big deal."

I laughed, because on the one hand, she's not wrong. We all experience the eclipses differently based on how it "lights up" our chart. πŸ’

For some people, an eclipse will make major aspects to their chart and be a defining moment in their life. For others, they may barely notice it. This is why astrology is an art and science β€” it's definitely not one-size-fits-all.

I've personally had eclipse seasons that ushered in major changes or proved to be defining moments; others passed by with little fanfare. ⚑

But what's true during any eclipse, no matter how it lights up your chart, is that the energies are very potent. Whether we're consciously aware of it, the BIG energy is "working" on us and we're responding to those energies at subtle levels.

>> It's important to be gentle on these days. If you're able to, take the day off and do some self-care or attend to your spiritual practice. πŸ•ŠοΈ

If you can't take the day off, know that the folks may be out of sorts on the eclipse days, and even the days in between them.

πŸ“… If you don't already have my electronic calendar of the year's juiciest astrological dates, then you probably want it.

Regardless, here's a reminder of what's coming:

πŸŒ• β™“ Full Moon lunar eclipse in Pisces on Wednesday, September 17 at 7.34pm PT

πŸŒ™ β™Ž New Moon solar eclipse in Libra on Tuesday, October 2 at 11.49am PT

Before you ask, NO, I'm NOT stopping my astrological consultations. There is nothing I love more than sitting 1:1 with you and helping you understand yourself better through your personal and unique astrology.

I will never cease to be amazed how the planets reveal to us the fundamental nature of who we are as individuals and how we can navigate our lives with greater ease.

If approached with sincerity, the cosmos can quite literally reveal your soul's destiny and align you with Spirit. πŸͺβœ¨

Lately, I've been calling myself a "Spiritual Midwife." I keep bumping into people who are new to the spiritual path. I've been helping orient them to what's happening and how to move through it as easily as possible.

I'm adept at helping folks give birth to this new version of themselves, as they navigate tricky periods of spiritual awakening or major life transitions. Such experiences can have all the hallmarks of a traditional birthing process, and for some it's "easy," while for others, it's arduous. πŸ•ŠοΈ

That's why I created a new service focused on more long-term advising, which is the new direction I'm gravitating toward, so I won't stop with this service either. It's a combination of astrological and spiritual advising.

>> It's not yet listed on my website, so if you're interested in learning more, please schedule a complimentary chat with me by clicking here. I'll give you the full scoop live. 🍨

Also, regarding the two monthly events I host, the Online Study Group and Astrological Guidance Circle: Both will continue through the end of the year. Study Group is next week, September 18, just after the first eclipse.

πŸ‘‰ Previous attendees will continue to receive event reminders. If you haven't attended, but want a reminder, please hit reply and let me know.

Community Meditation Practice is a complimentary weekly gathering that WILL also continue.

You're welcome to drop in any Monday at 6pm at Inner Path. RSVP's are appreciated, though not necessary. Note: I do NOT send reminders for this event.

Thank you again for your delight in astrology and for sharing the journey with me β€” whether it's been from the start or only a short while. I look forward to messaging you again at some point with updates about what I'm doing and where I've landed. πŸ’Œ

Until then, I'm sending you all my love and hope to see you soon at an event or a session.

xo,

Eileen πŸ’Ž

P.S. I wanted to invite you to attend a very cool event TODAY at 2pm PT hosted by my talented and astro-enthusiastic friend, Hannah McKitrick.

She's a healing foods chef and it's a pretty cool workshop called Cook Lighter: Raise Your Vibration Through Food. (Oh, how very Virgo Season of you Hannah!) πŸ₯•

If food, diet or your health are "up," then I know you'll love her online cooking class!
