It's Time To Kickstart Your Courage ⚔️
The Sun and Venus in Leo had a very potent meeting this past weekend — no doubt you felt it! And now we're in the final week of Leo Season, which ends with a bang!
🧡🦁Today, we've got a New Moon in Leo. You'll recall that a New Moon happens with the Moon joins the Sun in the heavens. (More on that in a bit.)
I've been noticing a theme arising for my clients this Leo Season that I can definitely see mirrored in my own experience: FEAR and COURAGE.
Leo is the archetype of courage. It's the brave and loyal heart that loves passionately. 🔥
I just LOVE that courage exists on the same spectrum as fear. You can't have courage where fear isn't also present!
It's easy to overlook fear when focusing on someone's heroism, right? I mean, fear definitely has a repellent vibration, whether we're conscious of it or not.
Bravery on the other hand? It's magnetic, reassuring and even sexy! ⚔️
Yet, you can't have the courage without the terror!
It's so very easy for us to forget this or to even think of a "brave person" as actually lacking fear — as though they move through life without the gnawing agitations and anxieties that are universal to the human experience.
Have you also been experiencing an uptick in fear? Maybe you're noticing that you're a bit afraid of what life has in store for you now that your new values are emerging and you see what's out of alignment?
First: Well that's a perfectly reasonable and normal response to the changing tides of life! 🌊
Second: If courage only exists in the face of fear, then it would seem that fear acts as a friend along our path. Rather than it being something to push away or to feel shame about, perhaps we would benefit from embracing it?
Under this Leo New Moon, I invite you to contemplate the following:
🌙♌ Where is there fear active in your system?
How does it present in your Modern Holy Trinity — the Mind-Body-Spirit? (Do you feel it in your mind? Your body? Your spirit? All three?) What's it trying to tell you?
🌙♌ What if you allowed your fear to act as a compass, leading you back to your heart's deepest desire for change or healing?
How do you feel about that idea? Do you reject fear or welcome it as a potential ally?
🌙♌ Recall the last time you acted with bravery. Can you identify at what point the pain and discomfort catalyzed your courage to make a change?
The Sun and New Moon are in aspect to innovative Uranus. It's a tense square that can cause some upset.
It's time to flip the script! You have the power to use this disruptive energy to consciously realign with your heart's desire rather than being a victim to life!

THE ASTROLOGICAL FORECAST
Finding courage under the New Moon is a great segue into Saturday's astrology.
✨♈ We've got a cooperative trine between the Sun and the Destiny Point (North Node of the Moon) in fierce Aries this weekend.
You've probably heard me say (a dozen times) how much I LOVE the Aries archetype. It's RAW fire with limitless energy. 💥
When I say, "Kickstart your courage," I mean it! Aries is the motorcyclist that owns the road. Aries isn't afraid to fail because the Warrior doesn't sit around worrying about this, that or the other — Aries just acts and faces the consequences later. 👊
Where could you benefit from just doing the thing rather than endlessly thinking about the thing?
A fiery Leo Sun coming together with the Aries Destiny Point is reminding us of the vitality of life itself.
We stagnate if we always play it safe, and we evolve when we take risks. If we combine the Lion's loyal and creative heart with the Ram's unshakable passion and desire for sovereignty, we get a cosmic cocktail of molten energy. 🌋❤️

🌞♍ The Sun moves into humble Virgo on Wednesday, August 23 at 2.01 am PT.
I'll delve into Virgo more in the coming weeks, but for now, enjoy the last week of Leo's fiery creativity. Once we move into Virgo Season, we'll be focusing on more mundane tasks as we prepare for a change in seasons and activities.
⚠♍ OH BOY! Mercury in Virgo goes retrograde (Rx) on Wednesday at 12.59pm PT ... while Venus is also retrograde.
Mercury is now in his pre-Rx shadow, so if you're already asking, "Is it Mercury retrograde," you're definitely feeling into the vibes. We'll explore the Mercury Rx next week in more detail.
