Ya. Scratching your head and muttering to yourself is basically Mercury retrograde in a nutshell. (Think Native American coyote medicine.) It's hard to grasp and even harder to explain.
On a more mundane level, Mercury Rx reminds us not to take life too seriously when life throws a monkey wrench into, well, damn near everything! 🐒
This is the time you'll use sugar instead of salt; get a flat tire or lock yourself out of the house. Oh and also — your ex is probably going to message you, too. (And that's doubly likely with both Venus and Mercury moving "backward" now.)
It's really no wonder that Mercury Rx is by far the most widely discussed cosmic event in mainstream culture. (It's what I like to call "pop culture astrology.")
Who doesn't love to blame an electronic snafu or miscommunication on Mercury Rx?

⚡ THE ASTROLOGICAL FORECAST
Welcome to Virgo Season! The Sun moved into the sign of the humble and pure-hearted Virgin this morning at 2.01am PT, joining Mercury and Mars.
(Side Note: Haha, every time I write about Virgo the Virgin, I'm reminded of Madonna rolling around on the MTV stage in a wedding dress sing "Like A Virgin!" Not surprisingly, Leo Madonna has a Virgo Ascendant. Apparently, she was aptly named!) 👰
⚠♍Mercury is also in the sign of Virgo now, as he moves very closely with the Sun. Because his orbit is so fast, he changes signs about once every three weeks, and he's often in the same sign as the Sun for at least part of his Rx.
By the way, Virgo's planetary ruler is Mercury. We always want to pay closer attention to an Rx when it's happening in one of the signs that it "rules," because we're getting a double dose of the energy and potentially, double trouble!
That's especially true since Mercury is in opposition to nebulous Neptune, who can bring doubt and confusion. ❓❓❓
That said, Mercury starts his retrograde movement in a happy position to Uranus in Taurus and the Moon in Scorpio. These are two nice aspects that may decrease the rockiness that we can sometimes experience. Let's see how it rolls these next three weeks! 🤞
🔥♍ Beginning today, hot-blooded Mars in Virgo ends his opposition to Neptune and forms a grand trine with Uranus and Pluto.
The opposition is prone to causing illness and/or decreased vitality and energy, since Neptune has a dissolving effect. Thankfully, we're now on the other side of the opposition and you should find your energy levels mounting again. 🏃♀️
This may apply to your sexual appetite as well since Mars is in a lovey aspect over to Pluto. (These are two most sexually voracious planets.)
>> Given the powerful harmonious effects of the grand trine, you may find it easier than usual to assert yourself and/or your ideas. It's a good time for taking responsibility or revisiting a project that's been on the back burner or needs some "renovation."
If you do, you won't just have the energy to move forward, but the power and insight to drive your goal to completion — most likely when Mercury is direct again. 💥
As we enter Virgo Season under both a Mercury and Venus retrograde, the big take-away is this: We're still in a period of re-evaluation of our values, including, how we think about and communicate them to those most important in our lives.
Virgo wants our Mind-Body-Spirit to be healthy. When any one of these areas is imbalanced, so two are the others, because they are but one Whole. 🕊
