What Shifted This Month? 🦋
Whew. Eclipse Season was intense over here. How about for you? David Bowie's "Changes" keeps echoing through my mind.
"Ch-ch-ch-changes. Turn and face the stranger." 👨🔬🎵
Whether you experienced Eclipse Season with ease and/or difficulty, it's likely that some point of inner or external tension or conflict was illuminated, clearly showing where a reorientation is necessary.
It's now time to "turn and face the stranger," whether that's yourself, a situation or a new way of navigating life.
That's the beauty of having an eclipse during Scorpio Season:
Introspection comes more readily. We're more likely than at other times to want to identify and root out the sources of our suffering so that we can have a different experience.
When Scorpio energy is involved, we're often presented with situations that are unequivocally complete (aka: dead and decaying). 💀
In my experience, few of us really welcome the completion of cycles, even those we actually want to end! After all, "The devil you know is better than the devil you don't know." 👺
Turning to "face the stranger" is frightening and uncomfortable. (Hence so many people who don't change, despite so much pain.)
Scorpio's gift is rebirth and self-empowerment. She doesn't run from the fire, because she knows she'll rise from the ashes.
Will you remain a caterpillar or metamorphose into a butterfly? 🐛🦋
No matter where you find yourself on the other side of the second eclipse, know that something necessary has completed itself and whatever awaits is greater than what you leave behind. 💯
You're entering a phase of increased power — and even beauty.
I'm often asked, "How long does Eclipse Season last?"
Typically, this portal of energy is about six weeks:
🌕A few weeks leading up to the first eclipse (New Moon solar on October 14)
🌕Then the second (Full Moon lunar on the 28th)
🌕And a few more weeks for the waters to calm down
Consider, though, that if an eclipse brings a reorientation of some kind, you're now in a new cycle. How long will that cycle last?
It depends on each person and what's been catalyzed. It can be anywhere from a few weeks or months to years!
We're talking about the evolutionary agent here. Some changes are quick, while others are ongoing; some are obvious and others are subtle. 🌸
Also, to return to the topic of last week's email (receptivity), the answer to this question really doesn't live in the mind. It lives in your Body-Mind-Spirit.
Here's your contemplation:

Were they unexpected or a long-time coming?
♏If you reflect on past events, and also tune into your Mind-Body-Spirit, can you pinpoint when this cycle began?
(Even if a new cycle's been initiated, it's possible it's been percolating long before this month.)
How long do you anticipate you'll be under this new influence? What does your intuition tell you?
♏ How do you honor the beginnings and endings in your life (the cycle of birth and death), especially as it relates to your emotions?
Honoring ourselves and our experiences by reflecting on and acknowledging the important events and people that define our lives has an important purpose. ✨

Although the Scorpion's got a hard shell and venomous stinger, it's to protect her tender underbelly.
This is symbolic of Scorpio's vulnerability and her desire (read: need) to feel the full range of emotions. In so doing, she transmutes the energy, and facilitates the healing and integration processes.
