What's Mars Got To Do With It?
Monday marks the spring equinox — or Astrological New Year — when the Sun moves into the sign of hotheaded Aries.
We're kicking off the Season of the Ram with an Aries New Moon as well (on Tuesday morning at 10.23am PT), so it's going to be HOT!
We western astrologers follow the procession of the equinoxes (the changing of the seasons), so the spring equinox is considered a very powerful day of the year.
This is potent, fertile energy!
Consider that we have a lot of shifting energies right now. AND, we're smack dab in the middle of the year's two major cosmic events (more on that later in the forecast). Starting the Astrological New Year during this same time is like the cherry on top.
Extra juicy.
Passionate Mars, the planet that "rules" Aries, has been ALL UP in our business since this past summer 2022. He's actually playing quite a big role in how 2023 began and will continue.
That's why I created the below video all about Mars' influence this year.
Together with Saturn, the planet of achievement, Mars is creating an opportunity for you to identify a goal and then channel the desire and drive you'll need to get to the finish line!
Contemplations for the Spring Equinox and the Trine of Mars–Saturn:
If you want to actualize your goals, then you've absolutely gotta schedule time for them.
Seriously, you can't keep thinking about and talking about your heart's desire. You've gotta take action (Aries)! And sometimes, we don't actually know what that means. What's the first step even?
Scheduling time! If you don't schedule devoted time (Saturn) to your goal, then you can literally say goodbye to it ever becoming a reality.
>> This week, it's time to bust out your calendar app and actually schedule time to do The Thing. Then, you've gotta commit to using that time wisely in service to your big goal. Not going to take this first step? Well then, I've gotta call your dream into question.
Be realistic about what it means to change.
Since life is perpetually unpredictable, I find myself looking toward something that is consistently and inherently Truthful: Nature. Every day, our mama reflects back the most fundamental truths of our reality.
Spring offers us one such Truth: Rebirthing begins in the dark, whether that's flowers germinating underground or babies growing in the darkness of an egg or their mother's womb.
>> Where might you be experiencing significant or profound change that's happening internally? Are you discounting your own growth and transformation simply because you've yet to blossom in a visible way or the way your ego thinks is best?
Is it time for something new?
Aries grows bored easily and is constantly adventuring in an effort to keep things interesting. It's through the exploration of life — or acting on new desires — that it learns more about what it wants and needs.
Are there any areas where you've stagnated or are yearning for a change?
It could be as simple as getting a new hair style or rearranging the furniture in your house. Or, maybe this energy is calling you to make a more fundamental change, like moving to a new city?
>> What fresh new thing might be on the horizon for you? How can you invite the spirit of spring into your life?
The AstroLogical Forecast!
Since I've been going into detail about most this astrology in my last few emails, you'll only find a general overview today. But if you want all the juicy details, then you can tune into my 2023 Forecast on YouTube.
Major Event #1: Saturn moved into Pisces last week on Tuesday, March 7 after three years in Aquarius.
More On Mars: Mars finally leaves his post-retrograde shadow period TODAY, March 15. This is HUGE cause for celebration my friend! The energy is really going to start MOVING now.
Major Event #2: On Thursday, March 23, Pluto moves into Aquarius for the first time in our lives!
Mars Into Cancer: Two days later, on March 25, Mars FINALLY moves into Cancer after six looooong months in Gemini (a good four months longer than usual).
Trine of Mars–Saturn: Shortly thereafter, on March 30, Mars and Saturn form a fabulous trine to one another. You're being given an amazing opportunity to FOCUS and HARNESS your vital life force juju in pursuit of a goal.
Whew, that's a lot, right?!
Before feeling overwhelmed, let me assure you that you don't need to remember all the dates I've outlined here.
The main takeaway is this: There's big time shifting of energy; AND, now, with the upcoming Mars–Saturn trine, you have a fabulous opportunity to take action on the change you're craving.
>> BTW, do you or a loved one have one of your Big Three (Sun, Moon or rising sign) in Gemini, Virgo, Sag or Pisces? If so, it's time to schedule a consultation with yours truly!
I'll leave you with a final thought as we conclude Pisces Season: Aries is an energy that often gets its way, unlike the energy of the Fish, which seems to be constantly at the mercy of the cosmic tides.
I don't know about you, but I'm totally exuberant about the possibility of something finally going MY way after the horrors of the 2020 Trilogy.
>> Write me back and tell me what you want to go YOUR way!
Now let's see how this next month plays out in terms of getting what we want!
