Who Do You Serve?
Can you believe we're already halfway through Virgo Season?! Next week, I'll be writing about the fall equinox. But for now, summer is definitely making its last stand — in the tiny town where I live, it's a whopping 108° F!
Later below in the AstroLogical Forecast, I give you the DL on this week's Full Moon in Pisces.
Plus, Mercury will be retrograde just a few hours before, making for an interesting start to the weekend.
Let's focus now on one of Virgo's most important Spiritual Keynotes: Service, including being of Service or Acts of Service.
I've been saving this Keynote for the Full Moon because it's something Virgo has in common with Pisces — both signs really want to help their neighbors and fellow woman.
Helpful, humble Virgo tends to help anything and everything it thinks needs assistance, from mentoring a colleague who could use some extra help to folding the mountain of laundry on a new mom's couch.
Sensitive, compassionate Pisces is known for helping those who can't help themselves, like hospitalized folks, political refugees and endangered species.
For both archetypes, making a difference in the lives of others brings purpose and meaning to life. It's also a kind of Service to God.
Virgo truly can make a difference to others, too. Both because it's efficient and detailed about Serving the Mind-Body-Spirit, and also because it's willing to do the hard work required to make important changes.
Virgo seems to innately understands some deep spiritual Truths: To help others is to help oneself; to Serve others is to serve Divine; to change oneself is to change the whole.
A beautiful way to transmute personal pain and suffering is to look outside of yourself, and instead, focus on how you can be of Service to another.
Quick Contemplations:
How does Service show up in your life?
Do you Serve Divine or your EGO?
Who around you could benefit from a small or grand Act of Service?
It's amazing how simple acts of kindness can relieve your own suffering while creating a domino effect of surprised delight — and even wonder — in the lives of others.
And now ... the AstroLogical Forecast!
>> Mercury Retrograde (Rx) is Friday, September 9 - Sunday, October 2!! Heed the lessons of previous retrograde seasons, and prepare accordingly.
Delays are inevitable. Budget extra time for anything and everything that is important to you.
Be more specific than you typically are. Attend to the details to avoid miscommunications.
Welcome repetition. The nature of Mercury Rx is that you're often revisiting previously accomplished tasks or scenarios.
>> Then, just a few hours after Mercury goes Rx, the Sun opposes the Full Moon in Pisces at 2.59am PT early Saturday morning.
Under the Full Moon, both luminaries (the Sun and Moon) are in beautiful aspect to innovative Uranus and transformative Pluto.
But just like with the New Moon two weeks back, impatient Mars is making an unpleasant aspect to the luminaries again.
Too often, we look to the external world to provide remedies for our discontent. We want to take action to change our fortunes and situation because our ego thinks it knows best (how's that working out for you?).
Pisces gives the gift of Surrendering to life by attuning to Divine.
It's okay to want things to be different, but can you also accept reality exactly as it is first and foremost so that you are being led by Spirit instead of acting out of ego?
Friday afternoon to Saturday evening will be a good time to reflect on, and under, the Full Moon energies:
What changes do you want to make in your life? Can you set aside some time to approach the topic from an imaginative or original angle?
If you tend to hyper-focus, then try zooming out. If you aren't usually detail-oriented then now's the time to hone in!
Where are you holding yourself back via limiting beliefs?
Self-sabotaging yourself by procrastinating, making excuses or being out of alignment with your words and actions?
Where can you bring more acceptance and Surrender (Pisces) to your life and your actions?
Where are you prone to taking striking and energetic action (egoic control) to change something you dislike? Are you able to first surrender the situation to Divine so that your decisions and actions come from a space of acceptance versus one of resistance?
I hope this week you will perform a secret or surprise Act of Service without need for recognition or reciprocation.
>> Write me back and tell me if you do!! I would love to know.
