🌕 ♒ Wild Full Moon Vibes!
Hiya Friend!
Mercury is pulling out all the stops this retrograde (Rx), am I right? I don't know a single person who's been spared some sort of nonsense, even the most mild. A friend and I speculated that because he went Rx in Virgo — one of his two home signs and the sign of details — it's been particularly gnarly.
Definitely give more attention to the details during the next month. 🐒
Although Mercury will move direct again on Wednesday, August 28, he'll be moving back through the same area of the zodiac he's already been — twice.
This is what we call the post-Rx "shadow." Basically, although the Rx has ended, we're still experiencing the lingering energies, similar to how a boat will leave waves in its wake. 🌊
That said, Mercury does Rx back into the sign of the Lion this evening. In total, he'll spend about six weeks in Leo — twice the usual amount of time.
Leo and Virgo energies are MUCH different! Where Leo is dynamic and dramatic, Virgo is mild-mannered and humble. Where Leo is passionate and romantic, Virgo is grounded and practical. ♌ ♍
Mercury, the planet of communication and thought, as well as how we learn and move through our daily life and community, takes a very different approach when in fiery Leo versus earthy Virgo.
So expect that as he moves back into Leo this evening, you'll also experience the Rx differently.
Leo is the sign of our creative potential, our life purpose and the intense desire to follow your heart to birth something meaningful into your life. ☀️

⚡ The AstroLogical Forecast! ⚡
I'm going to focus the entire forecast on the Full Moon, because you can expect this Full Moon to be, well, wild.
When was the last time you were at Disneyland? Got a favorite ride? 🚗
One of my favorite attractions is the now defunct "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride." Each time we have a particularly interesting astrological moment — especially one in which Mercury is involved — I think of "driving" Mr. Toad's car like a madman through the streets of London. 🐸
Not surprisingly, Mercury "rules" cars, roads and railway tunnels, which all feature on the attraction, making it a perfect if not inadvertent depiction of a Mercury Rx!
So here we are, in the midst of the Cosmic Trickster's shenanigans, and we've also got a Full Moon that's in pretty noteworthy aspect to the Great Awakener, Uranus.
And when I say, "noteworthy," that's my polite word for the groan and face palm I did upon seeing the Full Moon chart. 🤦♀️😳
That's because Uranus in Taurus is creating palpable tension with his square to:
☀️ The Sun in Leo
🌕 Moon in Aquarius
🐒 Mercury Rx in Leo
Uranus's energy will have us contemplating whether we're in alignment with our values. We may also be considering how we might capitalize on our existing creative capacities and resources to shorten the gap between where we're at and where we want to be.
Aquarius is the polarity to Leo. The Lion can be very self-oriented and most interested in achieving its own personal goals and being the center of attention.
Aquarian energy, on the other hand, isn't content just to actualize its own desires. It wants its talents to be in service to something bigger — humanity! 🌏
Here's some inquiries to help you get to the root of this energy:
🌕 ♒ What are you doing to make life on this planet better?
🌕 ♒ How do you, as one individual person, contribute to the well-being of the whole, including our Earth Mama?
🌕 ♒ Do you emulate the characteristics you want your mate, your boss and political leaders to demonstrate or are you busy judging and espousing high ideals you don't embody yourself?
We're likely to get some very clear insights about the difference between service to oneself versus being in service to the whole. You may feel yourself called to participate differently with life generally or your community specifically, especially if it involves activism.
⚠️⚡ Whenever Uranus is involved, we can also expect the unexpected. One of his primary purposes is to shake things up and liberate us from outdated ways of thinking and being. He'll send us on a new path that we never could have expected.
Uranus rules the sign of Aquarius, and one of the things the Water Bearer really wants is to evolve the collective forward through social progress and innovation. 💡
But that's not all!
🔥♊ In addition to Monday's Full Moon in innovative Aquarius, we also have Warrior Mars and Guru Jupiter coming together in the sign of Gemini and making a square over to Wise Saturn in Pisces.
Throughout this week, you may find yourself feeling stuck, stymied or generally frustrated by an inability to move forward on your goals or plans. 😲
With the added Mercury Rx nonsense, this can be experienced as a series of setbacks or delays that prevent the progress you want.
You may have a very clear vision in mind that you want to act on, but can't for some reason. 🌤️
Or, you could feel blocked from seeing things clearly, as though you're wearing blinders.
What can you do to weather the cosmic storm and ride the wave?
Because my friend, this energy will not be letting up anytime soon. Although the specific planetary aspects may change (Mars won't be in square to Saturn all that long, for example), they're all happening within a greater context. 🪐
In less that one month, Pluto (now at 0° Aquarius) retrogrades back into Capricorn for the final time in our lives. Likewise, Neptune's taking an exceedingly long vacation at 29° Pisces.
🐍 🔱 Both of these heavy-hitting planets are at the most significant degrees of the zodiac. We can literally feel this vibration and we're responding to it, whether it's conscious or not!
The remainder of this year is calling us to wrap-up whatever situations or patterns have come full circle on a transformative cycle that began about 15-years ago.
This can present the same pressure cooker of anticipation or anxiety that we feel during any major life transition, like beginning a new job, ending a long-term relationship or moving. 🕊️
Lest you descend into despair at this news, remember: We're culminating a major cycle. Come 2025, you'll be emerging from the cocoon more empowered and filled with gratitude for having endured the wild ride.
