Today's Full Moon is a Rare One! πβ
Well, we've got another action-packed astrological week. The Full Moon in compassionate Pisces is at 6.35pm PT this evening and we're under these vibes today and tomorrow.
This is a fun Full Moon for a few reasons:
π It's a Blue Moon!
As the phrase, "Once in a Blue Moon," indicates, these moons happen rarely β when we have two Full Moons in one calendar month. The last one was two years ago this month! β¨
π Secondly, it's a Supermoon.
My mama, a master astrologer, tells me that this is the third of four consecutive Supermoons, aptly named for their close proximity to Earth. As you can imagine, we don't just see the Moon as larger than life, but her energies are magnified too. πΈ
π We're under both a Mercury and Venus retrograde (Rx)!
The big takeaway is this: The Full Moon juju is enhancing the existing need to reflect on, and realign with, our most beloved values, as well as the health of our Mind-Body-Spirit.
It's unusual for a Full Moon to pass by without grabbing your attention, right? Guaranteed, this one is going to steal the show.
And speaking of Venus β she FINALLY ends her retrograde this Sunday at 6.20pm PT!
Personally, I'm rather excited, because I'm not a huge fan of Venus Rx. The typical gentility of her energy gets a bit riled and her usual compromising nature (read: co-dependency) seems to be abandoned for the ultimate in self-care and boundaries. π
It seems there's a bit of stubbornness to Venus when she's Rx β and rightly so! Still, that doesn't usually provide for interpersonal challenges that are easily avoided or resolved.
All that said, Venus will be in her shadow period through September as she finishes out her four-month orbit through passionate Leo (more than three months longer than usual). β
We won't be done dealing with whatever arose for us during her Rx (July 22 - September 3), but it should be smoother sailing on the relationship and financial fronts.
She moves into Virgo on October 8 and then we'll really feel the shift. β
Thankfully, Mercury's Rx periods are about half the time of Venus's. The Cosmic Trickster goes direct again on September 15.
YOU'RE INVITED! Please join Kathy and me this Thursday, August 31 at 6pm for a Full Moon Music From The Cosmos.

β‘THE ASTROLOGICAL FORECAST
A little more elaboration on this Blue Supermoon in Pisces.
ππͺThe Moon is conjunct (next to) planet Saturn and in opposition to the Sun in Virgo.
Moon-Saturn days aren't the most jovial. Saturn can be a bit of a Debbie Downer due to its practical realism. However, in the sign of romantic Pisces, Saturn can be a stalwart idealist. π¬
Pisces has her head in the clouds while Saturn has his feet planted firmly on solid ground. This is a nice merging of energy if you can find the happy balance between Saturn's need for focus and Pisces' need to dream.
A few Full Moon contemplations for you:
ββ Where could you bring more compassion to an existing penchant to be controlling
Saturn is the planet of fear and as such, has a tendency to want to be in control. Can you bring more gentleness to an area where you're inclined to hold tight?
ββ Is there a wise elder in your life that you can turn to for guidance?
Saturn reminds us that maturity and age are valuable. When in Pisces, our elders are able to hold us with grace and assist us in attuning to the cosmic shifts with greater faith.
>> If you don't already have a spiritual teacher, now would be a good time to seek one out.
ββ Full Moons are symbolic of culminations, as is the sign of Pisces.
Is there any situation β especially related to relationships or career β that you need to surrender or allow to unfold without asserting your will?
πβMercury Rx is making a harmonious trine over to both Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus.
We've got five planets in earth signs now, giving us a more steady and grounded energy to work with.
Although both Mercury and Uranus are Rx, that can help us think outside the box on matters where we might usually play it safe or find we've fallen into a rut. π‘
Jupiter and Uranus are also moving toward one another, emphasizing the need for innovative solutions to issues regarding our finances, self-worth and our relationship with our Earth Mama.
Jupiter is liable to blow things out of proportion a bit, causing you to feel overly zapped, frenetic or anxious about existing circumstances. π
>> Step outside into nature and let the trees, birds and breeze rejuvenate your spirit and remind you that you can surrender it all over to Divine for resolution. ππ
During Virgo Season, you may be thinking about taking action to maintain a healthy constitution (Mind-Body-Spirit).
On the other hand, the Pisces polarity point reminds us that, ultimately, we have to surrender all matters to Divine β including whether or not we'll get to die with all our teeth or a robust retirement! π€¨
Take it easy these next few days under this potent energy. Remember to dream big without forgetting that our dreams can only take form when we harness the qualities of earth energy: determination, hard work and responsibility (to name a very few). π»
