Relationships Are A Balancing Act

How's fall treating you so far? Are the Mercury retrograde shenanigans finally settling down a bit?

We've got a pretty juicy Full Moon in Aries on Sunday that I tell you all about below in the AstroLogical Forecast!

But first, more on the Libra archetype and her commitment to Harmony (or Balance) — a core Spiritual Keynote of this sign.

Libra is marvelous at creating Harmonious situations and events, but equally talented at ignoring her own needs in the process! (Funny not funny.)

It's not that Libra does this intentionally. There isn't a conscious thought (though there might be!) that she needs to compromise to keep others happy. It's kind of an automatic reflex to be a people-pleaser.

Likewise, Libra is often so accustomed to looking outward that when she does attune her attention to her own needs, she can feel at a loss — "What do I need?"

I'll take Balance to compromise any day! How 'bout you?

So what we're all learning through Libra and Venus is how to bring more Balance and Harmony to our interpersonal relationships — by first attending to our own needs.

Ironically, while nothing is more important to Libra than her relationships, she actually compromises them by sidestepping self-care.

The lesson here is that when we have the strength to investigate our needs and then act in our own best interest, our relationships are actually fortified and naturally begin to Balance.

As I mentioned in my last email, this Libra Season really is more heavily focused on relationships than usual.

Our relationship wounds WILL be highlighted this month and especially this week, because both the Sun and Venus are in opposition to Chiron. (Chiron is an asteroid that reflects back to us our core wounding.)

Caution: Feelings of rejection, inadequacy or sadness may be closer than they appear.

However, Chiron is the healer of the zodiac. While you may have some unpleasant emotional scenes arise, you'll likely also find necessary remedies.

Specifically, Chiron is in the sign of the warrio. The Aries mantra is "I am." You should have greater clarity now as to where your responsibility lies in any imBalanced situations.

Likewise, you'll also be able to see where your individuality or self-care is compromised in your efforts to create Harmony and feel safe in relationship.

Bring loving attention to whatever surfaces this week — for yourself and your intimate others. Vulnerability requires courage!

Most importantly, consider that your relationships with others reflects back your relationship with yourself.

This lovely lady is embodying the Aries-Libra polarity. To achieve true balance, you've gotta have strength!

This Week's AstroLogical Forecast:

In addition to Chiron making an appearance in a big way this Libra Season, we've also got a ...

FULL MOON on Sunday, October 9 at 1.54pm PT in passionate, independent Aries!

This lunation highlights the polarity between self (Aries) and relationships (Libra). Of course, we bring ourselves into every relationship, so there's really not soooo much of a chasm here.

However, the emphasis will be on meeting your individual needs (for taking action, for freedom, for sex, etc.) within platonic or romantic relationships.

We have nice supporting aspects between Mars, the Sun, Venus, Saturn and the Full Moon.

Where do you need to bring more reliability and responsibility to your relationships?

Or maybe you have some relationships that aren't dependable or you're in relationship with folks who don't take responsibility for themselves?

How can you bring more Balance to these dynamics? Regardless of what decision you make, you can first accept the situation as it is before taking action.

There's also the inevitable gnarly aspects we're contending with.

Not for the first time, Mercury (still in his shadow) is in opposition to nebulous Neptune and square to aggressive Mars. Stubborn Saturn and rebellious Uranus are still in square, too. Wah wahhh.

The result?

This Full Moon, I highly suggest that you get down with the Aries energy and make it about YOU, not the other.

Meaning: Don't go confronting that friend you're upset with —  or your ex! These harder aspects will ensure that communication is wonky and combative.

Rather, go within and take firm stock of yourself by asking: "Where am I contributing to the situation, and what am I actually able and willing to do about it?"

Mercury then moves into Libra the very next day (Monday, 10/10). Mercury in Libra is the diplomat with a sincere desire to communicate graciously and to understand others' perspectives.

You'll be better positioned to communicate your needs to whoever needs to hear about 'em at this point.

>> Where are you out of Balance? Write me back and let me know, I definitely want to hear about it.

Until next week, cheers to understanding yourself better!

P.S. I'll be running a Halloween promo in the next few weeks offering a new service I'm pretty sure you're gonna love. Keep your eyes peeled for a special email from me!
