Thursday's New Moon in Virgo ๐ŸŒ™โ™

Tomorrow evening, we'll have a New Moon in earthy Virgo. Kathy and I will also be at Inner Path for Music From The Cosmos, so come on out if you're looking to ground into this new cycle of energy! ๐Ÿช๐ŸŽต

Every month, the Moon conjoins the Sun in the same place and sign. Therefore, the New Moon is always in the same sign as the Sun! ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒ™

This new beginning will be in humble Virgo who never misses a detail and is always ready to roll up her sleeves to help others โ€” and herself!

She's reliable, hardworking and committed to the health of her Mind-Body-Spirit, as well as that of those around her, including the environment and our nonhuman friends. ๐Ÿ•Š

(You'll remember from last week that the Virgin doesn't do dysfunction. She brings order to chaos and messes โ€” whether they are within or without.)

Since Virgo Season began, I've seen the beginning of the end of a few MAJOR cycles in my own life and the collective.

How about you? Can you FEEL that there are certain chapters in your life that are coming to a close?

Sometimes, endings are difficult. Other times, they're a welcome relief. Regardless of where you fall on this spectrum of embracing change, I invite you to stop and feel these energetic shifts in your body. โœจ

As it relates to this season's archetypes, I'm seeing that many people are either discovering or stepping into the Virgin's wisdom that the Mind-Body-Spirit are one in the same.

Have you had an experience of this Truth before? Have you ever made a decision that was unified in the Mind-Body-Spirit? Your entire being said "yes" or "no" from some place far deeper than your cognitive functioning?

This is part of the magic that Virgo offers us: A holistic experience of life that unites our humanity with our Spirit.

(This is why I jokingly call the Mind-Body-Spirit the "Modern Holy Trinity" โ€” it's really that important!)

As we sit in the dark of the New Moon and enter the last 10 days of the Virgin's Season, we can contemplate what the cosmos are revealing to us. Then, we can set our New Moon intentions with her conscientious intention! ๐Ÿ’Ž

Luna will be making two important aspects to other planets (aside from her conjunction with the Sun).

โ™Š The first is an opposition to Neptune in Pisces.

Oppositions typically highlight some area of our own psyche that is at odds. We're internally conflicted.

Since Virgo and Pisces are the natural polarity points to one another (their opposite zodiac signs), we can look to Neptune to help bring some inner conflict into better balance.

โ™‰ While the opposition is considered a "stressful" aspect, we also have a trine, an "easy" aspect, between the Sun, New Moon and Uranus.

Uranus in Taurus brings fresh insight and a commitment to progress to our self-worth and values, as well as our relationship to our Earth Mama and our resources, like money.

Here's some contemplations for you to embrace the vibe:

๐ŸŒ™โ™ Where can you invite some gentle Piscean energy into your life and mundane affairs?

Virgo can be a bit relentless or puritanical in her pursuit of health and order. Is there anywhere in life you're holding yourself to perfectionist ideals instead of establishing more realistic goals for yourself?

>> You'll benefit from setting a pace that follows the natural flow of things and is ease-ful and compassionate toward human foibles โ€” yours and others.

๐ŸŒ™โ™What are the quality of your thoughts? How do they effect your Mind-Body-Spirit?

Have you recently received any sudden realizations about a person or situation โ€” or about how you think, generally?

>> Now's the time to set an intention to cultivate healthier relationships and mindsets.

๐ŸŒ™โ™ What are your thoughts and feelings on the Mind-Body-Spirit?

It's a bit of a paradox: The Mind-Body-Spirit are already united. And yet, we mostly live as though they're three distinct units.

>> What habits and routines are required to better unite your humanity and your spirit?

โšกTHE ASTROLOGICAL FORECAST

I covered a lot above, so I'm going to focus on just one larger cycle of the astrology that underpins the New Moon.

๐Ÿ“งโ™Mercury retrograde in Virgo comes to an end on Friday at 1.21pm PT. Now, both Mercury and Venus will be in their retrograde (Rx) shadows.

It's not important to remember the technicalities of the Rx shadows (you can leave that to me)!

>> What's important for you to know is that during the post-Rx shadow, we're playing out, or wrapping up, the events that transpired during the retrograde itself.

Mercury is in shadow thru the end of September and Venus through the first week of October. โš

With Venus, specifically, we've reached the last chapter in a cycle that caused us to reexamine and realign with our values. It will conclude on October 8 when Venus moves into Virgo.

Venus represents, among many archetypes, our value systems and sense of self-worth.

>> How have yours changed over the summer?

If you've been reading AstroLogical for a bit then you know values are my jam, and I talk about 'em a lot. It's been an important theme in my personal life and on my spiritual path. ๐Ÿฆ‹

And in the last few years, it's been a BIG theme in the astrology, too!

You shouldn't be surprised, then, that I've created another event, this time on the subject of values. ๐Ÿ˜

I'll be co-hosting "Grrrl โ€” Please, You're Already Enough," with the fabulous Bradley Wahl, in-person on October 1.

We designed this playful journey to help you identify and live in alignment with the Guiding Values of your life โ€” so that you can become your own best friend and align with your Soulโ€™s purpose for greater fulfillment. ๐ŸŒธ
(More details below.)

Whether this event captures your interest or not, rest assured: Your values and your relationships (with others, yourself and your resources), will continue to be "up" for reassessment this month and during tomorrow's New Moon.
